FAQ about our company and our pet sitting services

What does a pet sitter do?
Caring pet owners know that most pets adjust better to their owner's absence and experience less anxiety
and stress when they can remain in their home environments. Pet sitters make this possible with daily visits
to your home. In addition to meals, exercise, playtime and cleaning litter boxes or cages, professional pet
sitters may also administer medications, walk dogs and perform other pet care duties. That's why utilizing
an in-home pet sitting service is the preferred choice of pet owners and the “pet-preferred” method of
vacation and travel care.

A pet sitter may also provide vital home-care services while you are away, including mail or newspaper pick
up, placing trash outside for pickup, or rotating the lights and opening or closing the blinds to make your
house look lived in. A professional pet sitting service provides peace of mind for everyone.

What is involved with the Initial Consultation Visit?
The Initial Consultation Visit is crucial, as it gives the opportunity for the entire family (including the pet(s))
and us at Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting to get to know one another. The visit is held at the family's
home and typically is between 45-60 minutes in length. During this time, we will complete a questionnaire
with the family in order to collect important information about the pet(s), including personality, behavior,
dietary plans, vaccination history and routines. It is important for us to learn as much as possible about
your pet(s) in order for us to make the best recommendation about meeting the needs of your pet(s). The
Initial Consultation Visit also allows the family to get to know us and learn the Reining Cats and Dogs Pet
Sitting policies and procedures. Finally, a pet sitting Service Agreement and appropriate documents will
be completed, and we will collect a set of house keys. All pets to be cared for and their owners must be
present at the Initial Consultation Visit.

Note: Initial Consultation Visits are required for all new families.

Am I required to provide health/immunization records to Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting?
In order for Reining Cat and Dogs Pet Sitting to provide services for your pet(s), all vaccinations must be
current. In addition, in order for us to care for your pet(s), you must provide us with health/immunization
records from your veterinarian. These are collected at the Initial Consultation Visit. Pet sitting service
cannot be provided without this important documentation.

Are you "insured & bonded?"
Reining Cats and Dogs is fully insured with the best liability insurance and dishonesty bond available to
protect you, your loved ones, and your home. We take great pride in providing the most professional and
highest quality services possible. Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting can provide you with copies of these
policies, at your request. We know how difficult it is to leave your loved ones in the care of others. We will
do whatever it takes to make you feel at ease when you are not able to be home, knowing that someone
you trust is taking care of your precious family members.

How do you provide home security for your clients who have to be gone overnight?
Not only will Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting provide your pet(s) with food, water, and the opportunity to
relieve him/herself before retiring for the evening, but we can also turn on/off lights, bring in the
mail/newspaper, take out the trash, and supervise service technicians. We help to give your home that
'lived in" look while you are away.

Are my key and information safe?
Client keys are kept locked at the Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting office and are accessible only to the
owner. Reining Cats and Dogs Pet Sitting also guarantees that all clients' personal information will be kept
confidential. We stand behind the professionalism of our company in order to provide you with the highest
quality pet sitting service possible.
